Madhava S. Rao, MD, graduated from Mysore Medical College in 1974. He then completed his intemship and residency at Cook County Hospital in 1977. Dr. Rao then attended the Cleveland Clinic Foundation for his fellowship training from 1977-1979. Dr. Rao joined Cardiovascular Consultants, Ltd., in 1979. Over the past thirty years, he has developed one of the regions leading cardiovascular practices. Dr. Rao is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a sub-specialty in cardiovascular disease. He is also board certified in Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography and Hypertension by Clinical Cardiology, American Society of Nuclear Cardiologists, American Society of Echocardiographers and the American Society of Hypertension, respectively. He is a member of many professional medical societies and is Director of Cardiology at CMC Medical Center, Scranton. Dr. Raos areas of special interest include Hypertension, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology.
