Lynn Rawson, MD, FACS, is a Board-certified general surgeon at AdventHealth Medical Group General Surgery at Shawnee Mission. She performs a wide range of procedures, with an emphasis on minimally invasive and robotic surgery, including the surgical treatment of reflux, hernias and diverticulitis. Dr. Rawson earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she also earned a bachelor of liberal arts. She went on to complete a general surgery residency at the University of California – San Francisco at Fresno, including service as chief resident, and then completed a fellowship in advanced therapeutic endoscopy at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Prior to joining AdventHealth in 2020, Dr. Rawson worked as a general surgeon at hospitals in Kansas, Missouri and Florida. She also has experience as a clinical assistant professor at universities in Missouri, Florida and Ohio. Dr. Rawson is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. A native of Stilwell, Kansas, Dr. Rawson now lives in Parkville, Missouri, with her husband and three children. Her hobbies include long-distance running and cheering on the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.
