I was born and raised in Chicago. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois then went on the medical school at Northwestern University. I completed my pediatric training at Case Western University in Cleveland then served as a pediatrician in the Air Force for four years before moving to Owensboro. Currently, I am board certified in pediatrics and am an active fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics (F.A.A.P); My husband, Dr. Bill Martin (orthopedic surgeon), and I have four children, Nate, Erin, Daniel and Abby. We spend our time away from work at church, keeping up with our children, bicycling and traveling (often to Chicago for deep dish pizza).
