Luis Faverio, MD, is the Co-Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Center at the Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Practice for Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. He was born in Lima, Peru and attended Medical School at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, Lima, graduating in 1987. He completed Pediatric Residency training at The Childrens Hospital at SUNY Downstate, New York in 1992. Dr. Faverio spent one additional year in the program as Chief Resident. Dr. Faverio did his fellowship at the Childrens National Medical Center in Washington, DC. During his fellowship he did research in Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and the use of Respigam and in the effectiveness of the high frequency chest wall oscillator as chest therapy modality in patients with cystic fibrosis. Dr. Faverio was in practice in Fort Myers, Florida for twelve years where he was the Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Center. In August of 2011, Dr. Faverio joined the Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Practice at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.
