Was born in Chicago and attended the University of Chicago for college and medical school. Her pediatric training was at UCLA, where she came to get warm in the winter. She wrote a regular feature magazine for 20 years and wrote for Pampers.com for twelve years. She has two stepchildren and has absolutely no interest in football because Chicago did not have a football team.
