Laurie Conklin, MD, is pediatric gastroenterologist at Children's National Medical Center. She is a diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American Gastrointestinal Association, North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition and American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Conklin has authored or co-authored numerous abstracts and peer-reviewed articles. Dr. Conklin completed a research fellowship at Johns Hopkins University, where she studied the lymphocyte transport of 6-mercaptopurine, a medication used to treat Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Dr. Conklins special clinical interests are IBD and abdominal pain. She sees patients with all general gastrointestinal disease.
