Laurie Ashby, MD earned her bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Scranton, and her medical degree and master's degree in physiology and biophysics from Georgetown University. She completed her residency in internal medicine at UCLA / St. Mary Medical Center, where she served as chief resident in the Department of Internal Medicine during her final year. Dr. Ashby has been involved in various community service organizations including the Junior League of Boise, where she was a founding member of the Especially Me self-esteem program for young girls.
