I specialize in pulmonary, critical care and palliative medicine. This combination of specialties gives me the privilege of knowing and helping various patients facing many different struggles. I focus on helping patients live better. Sometimes that means aggressive critical care to help them recover from an acute illness. Other times it means managing pain and symptoms and improving quality of life for patients whose illnesses we cannot cure. I am passionate about helping my patients and their families understand their medical conditions, honoring their wishes and helping them to meet realistic goals based on their medical conditions and wishes. In my spare time, I enjoy playing viola.
