Dr. Kolandaivelu Ramaswamy graduated from Madras Medical College in 1974. He did his general surgical residency at Mount Carmel Mercy Hospital from 1975 to 1980. He has practiced general surgery in Kentucky from 1980 to 1982. From 1983 to 2011 he has been in general surgical practice in Grayling, Michigan. Dr. Ramaswamy is board certified in general surgery and is a member of numerous surgical organizations including The American College of Surgeons, The Royal College of Surgeons of Canada, The Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, The American Society of Breast Surgeons, and The American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review. Dr. Ramasway has held positions of Chief of Staff, Chair of the Surgical Infection Control Committee, and was a member of the Bylaws Committee at Mercy Hospital in Grayling, Michigan. He has a special interest in diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy, laparoscopic procedures, and other general surgical procedures. Since July 2011, Dr. Ramaswamy has worked with the Onslow Surgical Clinic as a surgicalist. In his spare time he enjoys riding horses.
