Dr. Kainth brings a unique perspective on treating spinal disorders as he has completed both neurosurgery and orthopedic spine surgery training. He is board-certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. As an undergraduate, at the University of California at Berkeley, he finished at the top of his class. He then received his medical degree from Penn State University followed by residency training in Neurosurgery at the University of Minnesota and Penn State University. He went on to complete a one-year orthopedic spine fellowship in Dallas.
Dr. Kainth’s approach is conservative and individualized. He strives to give his patients a thorough understanding of their condition and all of their treatment options. He is well versed in minimally invasive spine surgery along with complex reconstructive spine surgery. He only recommends surgery if all conservative measures have been exhausted and the benefits outweigh the risks of surgery.
Dr. Kainth is a fellow of the American Board of Neurological Surgery, a member of the North American Spine Society, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the Montgomery County Medical Society.
