Doctor Richardson received his medical degree in 1998 from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. In 2002, he completed his residency training in OBGYN at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. During residency, Dr. Richardson was nominated 1999 Intern of the Year, awarded 2002 first prize for research in molecular dynamics of preeclampsia, and won the award for Best Grand Rounds Lecture for his presentation on breast cancer genetics. Dr. Richardson received his undergraduate degrees from Emory University in 1993, where he was a Studstill Scholar, and recipient of the 1992 George Gibbons Award and 1992 Georgia Power award for research in marine biology. While at Emory, Dr. Richardson earned undergraduate degrees in Biology and Art. History and worked for four years at Centers for Disease Control & Prevention. He currently volunteers at St. Andrew's Mission free health clinic. Dr. Richardson is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and is an active member in The American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
