Kenneth Liu, MD, is the Director of Neuroendovascular Surgery at the Bronson Neuroscience Center. He consults with patients who have cerebrovascular disease on open and minimally invasive surgeries. Dr. Liu has an active research interest in traditional cerebrovascular neurosurgery. He has pioneered minimally-invasive treatments for devastating and difficult to treat conditions, such as intracerebral hemorrhage and idiopathic intracranial hypertension.Dr. Liu has been the main investigator on many clinical trials, has an interest in device and technology development in the endovascular arena. He has been previously funded by the Department of Defense as well as collaborated with NASA. He has published over one hundred peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, has given numerous invited lectures nationally and internationally.Needing an emergency neurosurgical procedure is by definition overwhelming and nerve-wracking. My job is not only to put the patient's safety and their family's well-being first, but to educate and explain all the different options available, even ones I may not be able to provide, so that we can achieve the best possible outcome.
