Nationally known hip-fracture surgeon and researcher, Kenneth J. Koval, MD, serves as an orthopedic trauma surgeon for Level I Orthopedics. He joins Orlando Regional Medical Center after serving as director of the orthopedic trauma services for Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire, a Level I Trauma Center. He is the author of Fractures and Dislocations, A Manual of Orthopedic Trauma, considered critically important for orthopedic residents. His research, publications and articles primarily examine fractures in the elderly with an emphasis on hip fractures. Dr. Koval regularly presents scientific research on lower extremity fractures and fracture problems. He is an American Association of Orthopaedic Society fellow and is board certified in orthopedic surgery.
