Dr. Wilson matriculated at the Cornell Universitys College of Agriculture and Life Sciences where she earned her BS in International Agriculture. She then spent two years in the Peace Corps in Paraguay as an Agriculture Extensionist. Dr. Wilson studied plant sciences at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and received her Master of Science, Magna cum Laude. During her time there she worked with a gastroenterologist developing a possible plant-based treatment for Crohns Disease. "When I began to spend more time reading gastroenterology journals than creating a lighting system for my greenhouse, I knew it was time to step back and take a look at where my career path was taking me."
Back in central Vermont once again, Kelvey joined the Mad River Ambulance Service and became certified as an EMT-B. She continued on to Bryn Mawr for a postbaccalaureate premed program and received her MD from the University of Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Wilson completed her Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. She has two young children, Lydia age three and Logan age five , as well as a 15 year old stepdaughter, Racheal. Dr. Wilson enjoys all that Vermont has to offer including canoeing, alpine mountaineering and flying gliders.
