Dr. Kathy Woodward is the Director of In-Patient and Community Health Services in the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Childrens National Medical Center, located in Washington, DC. Dr. Woodward is a strong community advocate for adolescent health care, participating in many community and professional organizations, including the Society for Adolescent Medicine, the Mayors Blue Ribbon Panel on Teen Pregnancy, the DC Department of Health's Adolescent Health Task force, and the DC Mid-Atlantic AIDS Education and Training Center (Howard University Hospital). She is also a consultant for the Region III Training III family planning consultant and a board member of the DC Assembly of School-based Health Care. Dr. Woodward is a graduate of Wellesley College and the Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Woodward completed her pediatric residency and her adolescent medicine fellowship at Childrens National Medical Center. She became a member of the attending staff of the hospital in 1983. She is board certified in pediatrics and sub-boarded in adolescent medicine.
