Katerina Wells, MD, MPH is a Clinical Associate Professor at Texas A&M College of Medicine at Texas A&M Health Science Center, Dallas. She specializes in the management of colon and rectal cancer. She also specializes in the management of benign colon and rectal diseases. She treats patients suffering with pelvic floor dysfunction, offering a comprehensive approach to problems like constipation, incontinence and pelvic prolapse. Dr. Wells also specializes in the care of people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) including Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's disease. She works closely with gastroenterologists in a multidisciplinary approach to create treatment plans that are customized to the patient. Dr. Wells also manages anorectal disorders including fistulas, fissures and hemorrhoidal disease. One of her academic interests is inherited colon and rectal cancer syndromes. The goal of her research is to increase understanding about these rare syndromes and find better ways of diagnosing and treating people at higher risk for cancer. She and her husband enjoy being outdoors. They love to see and do new things including traveling, experiencing different cultures, and meeting people from all walks of life. In her spare time, Dr. Wells enjoys cooking and horse riding.Dr. Wells was recognized by D Magazine as a Best Doctor for 2022, 2023 and 2024.
