Kareem Niazi is an interventional cardiologist at James River Cardiology, in Richmond Virginia. Dr. Niazi is a board-certified general cardiologist and has interventional cardiology training. He specializes in treating blockages of the coronary arteries, as well as peripheral vascular disease, and structural heart disease. Along with his interventional procedures, Dr. Niazi is board certified in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and is a registered physician in vascular interpretation. Dr. Niazi was born in Albany, New York where he attended the Christian Brothers Academy high school. He went on to attend Dartmouth College where he completed his pre-medical studies and attended medical school at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. After medical school he went on to complete his internal medicine training at North Shore University Hospital, Northwell Health in Manhasset New York. Dr. Niazi completed his general cardiology training at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He returned to North Shore University Hospital to complete his interventional cardiology training.
