Juan Herran, MD, pulmonologist, is a member of MD Anderson Orlandos Thoracic Care Center. Board certified in internal medicine with subspecialty certifications in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine, Dr. Herran is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners. At Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC), Dr. Herran has served as chairman of the medicine department and as medical director for the Intensive Care Unit and Progressive Care Unit. He holds staff privileges at most Central Florida hospitals and has presented educational lectures to numerous professional groups. He is fluent in Spanish and English. Dr. Herran is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Chest Physicians. He is involved with many societies including the American Thoracic Society and the Florida Medical Association. Dr. Herran earned a medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. He completed an internship in medicine and fulfilled a residency in internal medicine at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. He also completed a fellowship in respiratory medicine at Stanford University Medical Center in California.
