Joshua Yang, MD, grew up in Santa Barbara, CA. He graduated cum laude from Wheaton College in Illinois and earned his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He completed his pediatric residency at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at UCLA Medical Center/Mattel Childrens Hospital. As a fellow, he was named the Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society Serono Clinical Scholar. His research interests include control of aging and longevity by IGF-I signaling, IGFBP-3 pharmacokinetics and the effects of SGA on cancer risk. Recent presentations at national meetings include a novel SHOX mutation associated with Leri-Weill Dyschondrosteosis, growth hormone deficiency in Alagille syndrome and GAD-65 positive ketotic diabetes in obese children.
