Dr. Howell received his medical degree from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his internship at Charity Hospital in New Orleans and his residency there as well as at the US Air Force Hospital in Mississippi and at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Howell is a Fellow member of the American College of Physicians and of the American College of Gastroenterology. He is also a member of the East Baton Rouge Parish Medical Society and a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
