Dr. Joseph Kavolus is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee surgeries. Raised in South Carolina, and the oldest of five boys, he graduated from Harvard University with a degree in evolutionary biology before attending medical school. After earning his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Kavolus completed his residency in orthopedics at Duke, where he met his wife, Stephanie, an anesthesiologist. He completed his fellowship in adult reconstruction at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
