Brief Intro

I am devoted to the specialty of urologic cancer, with the preponderance of my time dedicated to the diagnosis and management of cancers of the prostate, kidney, bladder, and testicle, and the da Vinci laparoscopic robotic surgical technology. My interests and accomplishments encompass robotic, minimally invasive and laparoscopic urologic surgery, including the daVinci robotic prostatectomy, robotic partial and radical nephrectomy, robotic partial cystectomy, and robotic urologic reconstructive surgery of the kidney, bladder and ureters. I graduated with distinction from Manhattan College in Bronx, NY, with a bachelor of science degree in biology. I then earned my medical degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY. Thereafter, I completed my internship and residency in surgery and urology at the SUNY Health Science Medical Center in NY, during which I trained under the direction of several leaders in the field of urologic oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NY, NY. I was then awarded a one-year clinical fellowship in urologic oncologic surgery at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) Medical Center, where I participated in urologic cancer research while obtaining additional expertise in the surgical treatments of urologic cancers. I received my board certification in 1996, and remain the Lehigh Valley region’s most experienced board-certified, fellowship-trained urologic oncologic surgeon. I am a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Urological Association, the Lehigh County and Pennsylvania Medical Societies, the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons, and the Society of Urologic Oncology of which membership in represents a distinction held by fewer than 5 percent of the urologic surgeons in the United States. Outside of the office, I enjoy outdoor activities, including running and spending time with my dogs. I am also involved with community charity events and have participated on a medical mission to Haiti.
