Brief Intro

Originally from Philadelphia Dr. Andrews opened an office in Dover, Delaware in July 1986 specializing in Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. He graduated from Temple University Medical School, in Philadelphia, in 1980. Dr. Andrews completed a three year residency in Internal Medicine at the Lehigh Valley Hospital Center / Allentown Affiliated Hospitals in Allentown , Pennsylvania followed by a three year Dermatology Residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. Both programs are fully accredited by the American Board of Medical Specialties and Geisinger Medical Center's Dermatology program is approved by the American Board of Dermatology. During the final year of his dermatology residency he had the opportunity to spend time with Dr. Fred Mohs (MOHS surgery for skin cancer) at the University of Wisconsin. He founded Delaware Dermatology, P.A. in 1994. He sees both outpatients and hospitalized patients needing care of the skin, hair or nails. He is on staff at BayHealth Medical Center - Kent General Hospital and has privileges to see both medical and surgical cases. Dr. Andrews is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Delaware Academy of Dermatology, Medical Society of Delaware, Kent County Medical Society and the American Medical Association. He has been a member of the House of Delegates to the Medical Society of Delaware since 1990. He has presented several papers at the Pennsylvania Dermatology Society and has presented cases at Philadelphia Grand Rounds held at the University of Pennsylvania as well as Grand Rounds at Geisinger Medical Center. He has published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. Locally, he has given numerous presentations on skin cancer, medical skin disorders and skin care. He has appeared on WBOC TV 16, WDOV radio and articles about him have appeared in the Wilmington News Journal, Delaware State News, Delaware Woman, the Dover Post and Delaware Parent as well as the BayHealth Medical Center's publication Health Waves. He consistently has been listed in Delaware Today Magazine as one of the "Top Docs" (1995, 1998, 2000 and 2003). He is a member of the Dover Capital City Rotary Club and has been chairman of their scholarship committee since 1989
