Dr. Bass received his undergraduate and graduate training from the University of Texas at Austin receiving a Bachelor of Engineering Science in 1977 and a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering in 1983. He entered medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1984, receiving his M.D. in 1988. After serving residencies at the University of New Mexico and Georgetown University, Dr. Bass completed his radiology residency training at the University of Tennessee, Memphis Health Science Center in 1994. From 1994 to 1997, Dr. Bass served in the United States Air Force as a medical officer at the 48th Fighter Wing Hospital, RAF, Lakenheath, England. Dr. Bass separated from the Air Force in 1997 at the rank of Major and was appointed Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Texas Houston Medical School where he served from 1997 to 2000. From January of 2000 to December 2000 he was section chief of outpatient and breast imaging and Medical Director of the Herman Imaging and Breast Center, Herman Hospital, Houston, Texas. Dr. Bass joined Chattahoochee Valley Imaging in January of 2001. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology. A general diagnostic radiologist, Dr. Bass has special interest in Musculoskeletal MRI, as well as breast imaging and intervention.
