Dr. Schnittker received his undergraduate training in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, graduating with honors from Queen's University. After earning his medical degree from Queen's University Medical School, he served a mixed internship at St. Mary's Hospital for McGill University, a residency in neurosurgical training at the University of Calgary, and a pediatric neurosurgical fellowship at Alberta Children? Hospital. Board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, he has taken a leadership role in academic, hospital and emergency medical settings, serving as Assistant Professor and Clinical Assistant Professor for the Department of Surgery at McMaster University; Trauma Team Executive, Trauma Team Leader and Director of the Spinal Cord Injury Team for Hamilton General Hospital.
