Dr. Costa obtained my undergraduate degree from Harvard University. He holds a doctoral degree in anatomy and cell biology from University of Chicago. He earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago School of Medicine. He has completed a Psychiatric residency with extensive research on the control and medical treatment of brain and nerve function. Following his residency, he worked in the pharmaceutical industry in the area of drug actions and metabolism. Some years later, he completed a second residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Since this residency, he has focused on extensive teaching and patient care efforts in the area of brain injury, spine dynamics and use of pharmacology for modification of pain, behavior, and cognition.
