Dr. Jonathan Hoda graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, with a degree in biology. He earned a medical degree from the University of Mississippi in Jackson, Mississippi, and then completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship training in cardiology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. He completed additional fellowship training in interventional cardiology at the University of Mississippi in Jackson, Mississippi. Dr. Hoda is board-certified in cardiology and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has conducted research on evaluating prescribing practices in the treatment of heart attack patients and examining the economic benefits of methods for percutaneous coronary intervention. He has presented his research at several American College of Physicians� regional meetings. He has completed several medical mission trips to China, Uganda and Burundi.
