High-quality care requires the right balance between modern science and technology, with an old fashioned attitude that allows for trust, communication and education. Although electronic documentation and other computer-based technologies are an increasingly prevalent and important part of medical care, they should not create a barrier between the patient and the medical provider. Success in medicine happens only in the context of a strong sense of care and unwavering dedication to the patient.
