Dr. Strasser is a cum laude graduate of Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts Institute of Technology Division of Health Sciences and Technology. He earned his undergraduate degree from The Johns Hopkins University. Following his internship in medicine and surgery at Newton Wellesley Hospital, he completed his residency in radiation oncology at the Joint Center for Radiation Therapy at Harvard Medical School. This included training at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Boston Children's Hospital. He served as chief resident in radiation oncology from 2004-2005.
Dr. Strasser's primary clinical interests include breast, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, thoracic, and pediatric malignancies. He has specialty training in Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and brachytherapy. He is also interested in partial breast irradiation. Dr. Strasser has published numerous articles in peer reviewed journals on various oncology topics.
He is board certified in radiation oncology and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology. He is an active member of several professional organizations. Dr. Strasser's affiliations include the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American College of Radiation Oncology, the American Medical Association, the American Brachytherapy Society, the Delaware Medical Society and the Massachusetts Medical Society.
