Dr. John W. Lacey, III is very active in the community. He is a physician with University Internal Medicine in Knoxville, Tenn., as well as the Senior Vice-President and Chief Medical Officer of the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He also is an associate professor in the UT Graduate School of Medicine. Originally from Knoxville, Dr. Lacey received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and served his internal medicine residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Dr. Lacey spends a great deal of time involved in community health education. He is a continuing board member of The Knoxville Academy of Medicine, member of the Knox County Board of Public Health, medical director of the Knoxville Area Project Access (KAPA) and chairperson for the Knoxville Area Hospital Study Group. In his free time, Dr. Lacey enjoys spending time with his wife, Sylvia, and their two children: Jennifer and John William.
