A native Cincinnatian, Dr. John Held graduated from St. Xavier High School and Xavier University. After completing medical school at The Ohio State University in 1973, he returned to the University of Cincinnati for postgraduate training, entering private practice in 1980. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and subspecialty certified in Cardiovascular Disease. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and of the Society of Coronary Angiography and Intervention. He is currently the Medical Director of the Fairfield Cardiac Cath Labs. Married since 1971 to the former Sandra Simminger of Pleasant Ridge, the couple has three grown children, and a dog.
