Dr. John Salter specializes in the diagnosis, and treatment of cancers and benign blood disorders. He has a special interest in lung and esophageal, gastroenterology, colon and rectal, liver and pancreatic cancers, head and neck, neurological, skin, and urology cancers, and benign hematology. Dr. Salter is a Community Health Network MD Anderson Cancer Center physician. Dr. Salter served as Chief Fellow for IU Medical Center - Oncology. He has served as Community Howard Regional Hospital Chief of Medical Staff and Vice Chief of Staff, Chief of Medicine. Dr. Salter is a member of American Society of Clinical Oncology. In his spare time, Dr. Salter enjoys playing guitar, traveling, fitness activities, cooking, reading and the never ending pursuit of spiritual enlightenment.
