About Dr. Russell A native of Columbus and graduate of Heritage Academy High School, Dr. Russell chose to initiate predoctoral training at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He then completed his bachelor's degree in general business administration at Mississippi State University. After completing his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Mississippi, he continued his dental education at the University of Pennsylvania, where he received Specialty Certification in Orthodontics. Dr. Russell joined the orthodontic practice of his father, Dr. John Russell, Jr., in 1988 and has continued the practice since his father's retirement. Dr. Russell is a member of the American Dental Association, the Mississippi Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Mississippi Association of Orthodontists. He has served as President of the Mississippi Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Russell is also an active member of the Columbus Rotary Club. Dr. Russell and his wife Pat, are active members of Main Street Presbyterian Church in Columbus, where they attend with their four children.
