Doctor Barker completed his undergraduate studies at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas and earned his medical degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Southern Illinois University College of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois. He has recently completed the spine fellowship at the Rocky Mountain Spine Clinic in Aurora, Colorado under the direction of John A. Odom, M.D. and Eric R. Jamrich, M.D. Doctor Barker's special interests include operative and non-operative treatment of degenerative conditions of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine as well as scoliosis, spine trauma, spinal tumors and minimally invasive procedures.
