John Santa Ana, DO is a Board Certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and Electrodiagnostic Medicine physician specializing in Interventional Sports, Joints, and Spine treatments. Dr. Santa Ana has a passion for Musculoskeletal Medicine, Interventional Orthopedics, and Regenerative Medicine.At Michigan Center for Regenerative Medicine, their goal is to provide state-of-the-art alternatives to surgical management using regenerative medicine techniques for patients with disorders of connective tissues (bones, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, or muscles). Dr. Santa Ana offers EMG testing. Education and BackgroundDr. Santa Ana completed his Undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Food Science at Wayne State University, and his medical degree at The New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He joined the US Army and completed his specialty training in PM&R at The Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC. He continued to serve as an Army physician as the Chief of PM&R at Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, WA providing Musculoskeletal Sports and Spine care to active duty service members and veterans. In 2011, he completed a deployment in Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn. At the end of his commitment in 2013, he was honorably discharged with a rank of Major. He completed an Interventional Spine Fellowship at Michigan Neurology Associates, PC.
