Dr. Tate joined the Lake Region Healthcare Medical Staff in 2009.
Originally from Portland, North Dakota, Dr. Tate received his BS in Education at Mayville State College, North Dakota. He obtained a certificate in Physical Therapy at Mayo Foundation in Rochester, Minnesota. His Ph.D. in Anatomy/Cell Biology and his medical degree was obtained at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. His residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Hematology/ Medical Oncology was done at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio.
Dr. Tate is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine.
Dr. Tate is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Society of of Clinical Oncology, and Amercian Society of Hematology. His professional interests include palliative medicine, benign and hematologic disorders, and breast cancer.
Dr Tate and his wife, Mary, have two daughters.
