With 18 years of experience, Dr. Melek is a dedicated Primary Care Physician(PCP) providing the best care possible to his patients. Dr. Melek provides outpatient care in his private practice. He is known for his compassionate care, and ultimate respect to his patients. Dr. Melek graduated medical school from the University of Alexandria Medical School, then he finished residency training in the Alexandria University Hospitals.
Dr. Melek trained for internal Medicine in the U.S. at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, Chicago, IL, in affiliation with the University of Chicago.Dr. Melek has been practicing Medicine in Texas since 2013. He currently works with both acute and chronic wounds, especially the difficult-to-heal ones. Chronic wounds can be associated with diabetes, vascular diseases, and others. The clinic team works collegiately with plastic and vascular surgery to deliver global treatment of those special types of wounds. Minor skin surgeries and interventions is one of Dr. Melek's specialty areas. These include, but not limited to: Removal of warts, moles, skin tags, and sebaceous cysts. All procedures done with local anesthesia.
Dr. Melek is committed to treating chronic pain conditions including chronic back and neck pain, neuropathy with or without diabetes, as well as migraines and chronic headaches. Dr. Melek approach entails not only medication, but also procedures and interventions to help relieve our patients pain, including the most recent advances of injecting the Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for chronic pain treatment, and stimulating the body to help heal itself, showing great promising results.
