Brief Intro

John C. Hening, DDS Dr. Hening was raised in the White Mountains of Northern New Hampshire. He came to Colorado to attend Western State College In Gunnison. He received his undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in chemistry and then went on to receive his dental degree at the University of Colorado in 1992. After graduation, John served four years as a dental officer in the US Navy Dental Corps. In 1996, Dr. Hening moved to Durango and assumed the practice of Dr. Forrest D. Brown. Dr. Hening is a Fellow of The Academy of General Dentistry and maintains active affiliations in the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Hening and his wife Etoile enjoy mountain biking, hiking, camping, and skiing with their family in the mountains surrounding Durango.
