In my kindergarten class newsletter, I said I either wanted to be a pediatrician or a clown," so I have always been drawn to a career in pediatrics (my parents wouldnt let me join the circus). I think it is important for all of us to learn to take good care of our bodies. This includes maximizing mental and physical health, eating well, minimizing stress, exercising, and preventing illness with vaccines. As pediatricians, we can help children and their families make choices to live healthier lives. It is also very important to be kind to yourself and to be kind to others! Outside of work, I like to ride my bicycle, cook, go to the beach, play the piano and spend time with my family.
