Dr. Jerome Taxy is a specialist in general surgical pathology. Dr. Taxy is interested in the correlation between the structure of disease and its clinical manifestations, especially in diseases of the head and neck, breast cancer and urologic cancer. He is also the director of autopsy pathology at the University of Chicago Medical Center.Dr. Taxy is the author of more than 80 publications and sits on the editorial boards of The American Journal of Surgical Pathology and The American Journal of Clinical Pathology. A respected teacher of medical students, residents and fellow physicians, Dr. Taxy has led courses and workshops in surgical pathology on local and national levels.
