Dr. Eng was born and raised in the suburbs of New York City. He attended SUNY at Stony Brook for his undergraduate degree, receiving a B.E. in engineering. He then attended SUNY at Buffalo for his graduate degree, earning a Ph.D. in biochemistry. His research was in the field of immunochemistry, specifically studying antibody binding to proteins. Dr. Eng received his medical training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, where he earned his M.D. degree. He did his internship in pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston TX, and his residency was at the Wilmington Medical Center. Dr. Eng is board certified in Pediatrics and is on the active staff of both DuPont Hospital for Children, and Christiana Care Health System (Christiana Hospital). He is also a member of the teaching staff of the Jefferson Medical College. Dr. Eng is one of the four founding partners of Brandywine pediatrics. Dr Eng and his wife Robin have 3 children and 1 grandchild. Robin is the former CEO of the PDMA. She is an author, business consultant and is also a professor at the Lerner Business School at the University of Delaware. In his spare time, Dr. Eng enjoys travel, astronomy and motorcycles.
