Dr. McDonald is a transplant to St. Louis from New Jersey so she will not ask you where you went to high school. After undergraduate work at Drexel University in Philadelphia and several years of working for SmithKline Beecham in the research arena she headed west to Erie, Pennsylvania for medical school at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. This was the beginning of a journey that would not be completed for nearly nine years. Keeping in the tradition of heading west it was off to St. Louis for internship at DesPeres Hospital followed by a four year Obstetrics & Gynecology residency at St. Johns Mercy Medical Center. She has enjoyed private practice in both South and West County since August of 2004. The culmination of all of her training was in January 2005 with Board Certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. McDonald has also been a part-time faculty member at Logan University of Chiropractic for the last three years teaching at the doctoral level. The first two years teaching at Logan were spent teaching pharmacology %u2013 the science of drug interactions and the human body. At this point %u2013 she gets to teach her true passion of Women%u2019s Health to future chiropractic students. She also participates in many local community educational events designed to empower women to take charge of their health.
Dr. McDonald has been enjoying married life since 2004. Currently, the %u201Ckids%u201D are two fluffy 100+ pound energetic four year old Great Pyrenees. In addition, she has been a part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program for almost 8 years, which has allowed her to mentor two very special young women.
