Brief Biography/Achievements: Dr. Cooper has an international reputation for expertise in head and neck and skin cancers and serves on the Editorial Boards of several medical journals. Since becoming Board certified in 1977, he has served more than a dozen times as an invited oral examiner for the ABR test to become Board Certified in Radiation Oncology. In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Cooper is a respected researcher with more than 150 peer-reviewed contributions to the medical literature; his work includes a landmark study of combined radiation and chemotherapy in head and neck cancers published in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine. He has served several times as a Vice Chair of the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG), is a past President of the American Radium Society, and was twice elected to serve on The American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC).
