Brief Intro

Dr. Mehta graduated from the University of Nevada School of Medicine, where he was selected by his peers as Outstanding Fellow Classmate. He completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at the University of Colorado and Childrens Hospital, Denver. Dr. Mehta completed his fellowship in pediatric rheumatology at Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia. During his fellowship, he received, from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, a masters of science in translational research, with his thesis addressing the role of prostaglandins in inflammatory and cardiovascular homeostasis. He has presented his research at local and national scientific meetings. Today, Dr. Mehta directs the pediatric rheumatology fellowship program at Montefiore Medical Center and conducts research on juvenile idiopathic arthritis and pediatric systemic lupus erythematosus.
