Dr. Jay Stein is a leading urologist providing state-of-the-art care for patients in the Beverly Grove and Greater Los Angeles areas. Certified by the American Board of Urology and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Dr. Stein has been in private practice since 1975, specializing in adult and pediatric urological diseases and conditions, with a special emphasis in male infertility issues, including vasectomy reversals.
Since coming to the Los Angeles area in the 1970s, Dr. Stein has developed a deep commitment to the patients he serves, and his commitment to learning new techniques and incorporating state-of-the-art technology ensures every patient gets the safest, most effective and most appropriate care at any age.
After completing his bachelor degree in chemistry at the University of North Carolina, Dr. Stein completed his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina followed by an internship at Los Angeles County General Hospital and the USC Medical Center, a residency in general surgery at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and a residency in urology at the University of California, Irvine, Orange County Medical Center and the Long Beach V.A. Hospital. He also completed a partial fellowship in pediatric urology at the Hospital for Sick Children in London, England.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Stein also maintains affiliations with Olympia Hospital and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, were he also has a teaching appointment. He maintains memberships in the American Urological Association, the Clinical Urological Society and the Los Angeles Urological Society. When not seeing patients, Dr. Stein enjoys fishing, photography, travel and learning about new cultures.
