Dr. J. Patel attended medical school in Baroda, India and completed his internship at Detroit General Hospital in 1972. He completed his general surgery residency at Detroit-Macomb Hospital Association in Detroit, Michigan in 1976. Dr. Patel completed fellowships at the Roswell Park Memorial Institute in Buffalo, New York for General Surgical Oncology Including Solid Tumor Chemotherapy and Head and Neck Surgery and Oncology Including Chemotherapy. Dr. Patel has been practicing as a General Surgeon in the Melbourne area since 1984 and joined MIMA in 2009. He has extensive experience in general surgery, but has a special interest and special training in surgical oncology of the head and neck.
