Dr. Krefting Dr. Janet Krefting has been a member of New Concepts Dental Group of North Billerica, Massachusetts since 1979. An expert in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry, Dr. Krefting has pursued additional training in pharmacology, oral surgery, health and nutrition, forensic and pediatric dentistry, and practice management. Her breadth and depth of knowledge are appreciated by her many loyal patients. Dr. Krefting conducted research in internal medicine at the University of Iowa, where she received her Bachelor of Science with honors in 1973. Dr. Krefting then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Northwestern University in 1978. Shortly thereafter she joined the New Concepts Dental Group where she has been working ever since along with longtime colleagues Dr. Waldman and Dr. Epstein and a committed support staff of 18. Dr. Krefting draws upon her years of experience in order to give her patients healthy, beautiful smiles. Dr. Krefting is a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society and the Merrimack Valley Dental Society. In addition to spending time with her five children, among them a son she adopted from Sudan, Dr. Krefting enjoys cooking, scuba diving, sewing, photography and playing the piano. Philanthropic work is also close to her heart. In addition to providing free dental care to kids through the Chernobyl Children's Project, Dr. Krefting has worked extensively with the Lost Boys, a program that aids survivors of Sudan's civil war by replacing teeth that were removed as part of a tribal custom with permanent dental implants.
