After college at The University of Wisconsin in Madison, he attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his general surgery internship, a year of general surgery residency and his orthopedic surgery training at UCSD. The Scripps practice and UCSD appointment kept him in La Jolla until he was recruited to Kalispell to help form Northwest Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. His practice in La Jolla concentrated on knee, hip and trauma care with a special focus on knee problems in all age ranges, which he has continued in Kalispell. He enjoys being more of a general orthopedist since the move. Other interests include healthcare information technology, the outdoors and all things aviation related.
