Orthopedic Surgeon James Blasingame, M.D. is on the Kalispell Regional Healthcare medical staff and practices with Northwest Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. He came to Kalispell from La Jolla, California. He practiced at Scripps Memorial Hospital as a member of Torrey Pines Orthopedics for 25 years. private practice he was on the faculty of The University of California San Diego (UCSD) as associate clinical professor of orthopedic surgery. After college at The University of Wisconsin in Madison, he attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his general surgery internship, a year of general surgery residency and his orthopedic surgery training at UCSD. The Scripps practice and UCSD appointment kept him in La Jolla until he was recruited to Kalispell to help form Northwest Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. His practice in La Jolla concentrated on knee, hip and trauma care with a special focus on knee problems in all age ranges, which he has continued in Kalispell. He enjoys being more of a general orthopedist since the move. Other interests include healthcare information technology, the outdoors and all things aviation related.
