The Doctor is originally from Mississippi, born in Natchez, and raised in Jackson. He attended the University of Southern Mississippi as an undergraduate, then spent time at Colorado School of Mines in Geology before entering med school at the University of Mississippi. His Ortho Residency was at Shands, Jacksonville. He then spent a year in a Sportsmedicine Fellowship at eh University of Chicago. His wife, Ann is a Physical Therapist who helps in the office. They have three children, two sons and a daughter who as of this writing attend public school in Panama City. They have been members at Hiland Park Baptist Church for 22 years.
