Dr. James Eugene White, MD

Dr. James White, practicing cosmetic surgery in Chattanooga, Tennessee (TN) is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery; a Diplomat of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery; a full fellow of the American College of Surgery, a full fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and is a Diplomat with the American Board of Phlebology. After completing his undergraduate work in Biology at the University of Georgia, Dr. White went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from the Medical College of Georgia. He completed a General surgery residency at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga and has been active in office based cosmetic surgery procedures for the last 7 years. Dr. White is the Medical Director of Advanced Surgical Concepts. His research has been published in several surgical journals, and he has given numerous lectures and presentations during his medical career. Voted teaching resident of the year, Dr. White is currently teaching fellows in conjunction with Dr. Carey Nease as a Cosmetic Fellowship instructor with Southern Surgical Arts of Chattanooga, TN. Dr. White is one of only a few hundred USA physicians to be named as Diplomat of the American Board of Phlebology. His vast experience with x-ray and ultrasound allowed him to pursue advanced training in Phlebology [the study of veins] with an emphasis on the use of EVLA laser closure and ultrasound guided sclerotherapy in the non-surgical treatment of vein diseases.He has completed more than 4,000 endovenous laser ablation procedures since 2002 in the advanced laser treatment for varicose veins and vein diseases. His office uses state of the art surgical and non-surgical treatments for varicose veins. Dr. White has extensive training in the mini facelift procedure and other facial cosmetic surgery procedures. Dr White specializes in artistic cosmetic surgery, natural enhancements with minimal downtime and minimal scarring using some of the latest technologies. He wants all of his Chattanooga, TN and Cleveland, TN cosmetic surgery patients to benefit from his extensive experience. In addition to providing liquid face lift procedures with advanced dermal fillers, Dysport, and BOTOX, Dr. White offers the following procedures: face and neck lifts, laser assisted face lifts, eye and brow lifts, SmartLipo, liposculpture and laser body sculpting, tummy tucks and mommy makeovers. Dr. White resided in Guadalajara, Mexico completing studies at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara; there Dr. White's Spanish improved greatly. With the change to an office based surgery practice, Dr. White and his family have been able to make medical/surgical mission trips to Mexico and Haiti. He has been able to participate in medical missions with the International Medical Assistance--IMA-missions.org. As a board certified surgeon, Dr. White has been eager to share his expertise in surgery with less fortunate people of third world countries. Dr. White is a 14 year veteran of the United States Air Force Reserve completing his tour as a Lt. Colonial. On a more personal note, Dr. White, his wife Casi and two sons Cole and Carson are members of Silverdale Baptist Church of Chattanooga, TN. Since 1998, they have called Cleveland, Tennessee their home.
